Letter from the Editors
Presenting Fitoor, a place where anything is possible.

Fitoor began with a simple idea. To create a space where culture in all its forms could come together. Cinema, art, literature, and the stories that bind them. A space where truth, in all its shades, can breathe freely. A space where real stories, especially the ones often overlooked, can find a voice.
The thought for Fitoor came to us during an ordinary kaali-peeli cab ride in Bombay. Those taxis are always moving, always carrying people, moments, lives. They felt familiar and honest. Much like the city itself. Bombay never really stops. It keeps going, quietly holding countless stories within it.
Sometimes, though, it pauses. At a turn in the road, at a crowded station, in a drop of rain. In those moments, the city becomes a feeling. That is the moment Fitoor is searching for.
We imagine Fitoor as a welcoming home for writers, artists, and creators. A place that celebrates their work and helps shape it with care and meaning. We hope to build a community driven by curiosity, reflection, and the joy of expression. Here, creativity does not need to rush. Stories are allowed to unfold at their own pace.
As Fitoor takes its first steps, we are filled with gratitude. To everyone who believed in this idea, who shared their work, their time, and their trust with us. Every contribution, every conversation, every quiet encouragement has helped bring this vision to life. This magazine exists because of you.
Our first edition is a love letter to Bombay. To the city that lives in your kahani, your nazm, your tasveer, your jazbaat. Through your words and images, we hope Bombay meets itself.
This is only the beginning. We are excited for all the stories yet to arrive, the voices yet to be heard, and the community that will continue to grow with Fitoor. If you have something you want to say, something you want to hold on to, we would love to hear from you. This space is yours as much as it is ours.
